Position Synopsis
The Sales Manager helps Geonet meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative. Responsible for maximizing the sales potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to the management.
Position Responsibilities
Sales
Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales budget
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition.
Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
Team and Resource Management
Communicate and follow through on sales goals and objectives.
Be actively involved in succession planning by making sure knowledge is retained in Geonet
Manage resources to comply with sales designed process flow.
Position Requirements
Education & Experience
Preferably BS/MS degree in business administration or Geography, Engineering or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in GIS
General understanding in one of these fields;
Telledyne CARIS Suite software for Chart Production, ArcGIS
Spatial Data Analysis
Hydrographic Survey
Knowledge and skills
Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
Natural drive to perform with eye for detail
Strong business sense and industry expertise
Communication
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and in writing, ability to communicate in French would be an asset
Communicate issues clearly and credibly with widely varied audiences;
Familiar with Office 365 and Teams

Current Need:
GeoNet is currently expanding and is looking to add an additional GIS Technician to our team in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inputting, updating, and maintaining GIS databases and layers
Preparing detailed map layouts and maps
Inputting and reviewing GIS data for completeness, accuracy, and neatness
Conducting geoprocessing operations and database queries
Performing digitizing
Performing stereo plotter compilation
Other duties as required.
Required:
Post-secondary degree in Geography, Marine Geomatics, GIS or a related field.
Knowledge of Esri ArcMap/ArcGISPro/ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online.
Knowledge of the Telledyne CARIS Suite of software.
Familiarity in mapping and geographic principles (e.g., map projections and coordinate systems).
Ability to maintain project data, geodatabases and correspondence in an organized manner.
Ability to produce maps, web maps and web apps as needed on projects.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and oral)
Self-starter; ability to work independently with little supervision as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
Considered Assets:
Familiarity with various programming languages (SQL\TSQL,Python, c#, JavaScript, etc.).
Experience in Web development
Familiarity with QGIS and different GIS file formats.
Familiarity with the S-57 Standard or Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC)
